Noticed both of mine are broken. Any advice on replacement?

 

Stock mounts or the heavy duty solid mounts

 

Go with OEM replacements, I believe I bought some from Lucky 8 for around $45

 

Replacing the engine mounts can seem intimidating but it's really a pretty simple job. Unless you're doing some severe off-roading the stock rubber mounts are fine. The easiest answer is to buy from Lucky8.

You'll need a jack and a block of wood to support and lift the engine. I put mine under the oil pan with the wood to cushion and spread the load. Start by removing the top and bottom nuts from the mounts. An 18mm ratcheting box wrench works well; a stubby if you can find one. Once the nuts are removed lift the engine with the jack just far enough to be able to remove the mounts. Replace them with the new ones, lower the engine, reinstall the nuts, and you're finished.

I replaced the right-hand transmission mount earlier this year. The process was similar to the process for the engine mounts, but for the life of me I could not figure out how to get a wrench on one of the bolts or nuts for the left-side mount so I left it in place. Fortunately it was still sound.

Sometimes you can remove the large stud out of the motor mount after you remove the large lower nut, if the stud will come out, you wont need to lift the engine as high. The stud has a TORX male end. Keep an eye on your electrical lines running along the fire wall above the coils (rear motor), the intake manifold can pinch them when you have it jacked up.
