Default A/C problems

When I turn the A/C on all I get is warm air. I opend the hood and noticed that the clutch was not engaging. I bought a recharge system and when I hooked it up it said that the A/C system had a pressure of almost 65lbs and was in the yellow of the scale as over pressured. I drove it around for quite some time and the A/C never would engage. I do not know if the A/C ever worked as I live in the Pacific Northwest and have never turned it on before. Any help would be great. Thnak you.

I got it to work. I moved the relay up and down a couple times and the connection on the a/c pump a couple times. There must have been somethnig keeping it from making full contact.

Make sure you use the a/c once a month even in the winter time (just turn the temp to hot), this keeps the compressor seals lubed so they dont dry out.

I use my a/c year round. I can't do without it. Get my feet dragging snow in with the heater, it fogs up all the windows. I don't see how you do without it..

My AC blows hot on the passenger side, are there two connections? Did your AC blow hot on drivers and passengers side?

Mine would blow nothing but warm air out of all the vents. When I looked at the pump the center was not turning/engaging. I moved the relay in and out a couple times making sure it was seated real good the last time I pushed it back in and I disconected and reconected the plug at the pump a couple times. This worked for getting the pump to engage. I was then able to get a proper pressure reading and I recharged the system. I now have ICE cold air from all vents and it seems to be working great.
