Default Cabin Filter?

Is there a cabin filter on the 2004 Disco 2? I thought I remembered that the only filter was the strip of coarse filter material that's located by the wipers, visibile when the hood is up. However, I found that Beck Arnley purportedlysold cabin filters for that rig, link attached.

Anyone?

Thanks

That looks to be the same size as the air filter in the engine compartment. The only cabin air filter I know of is the one you mentioned under the wipers. You can also buy about 3 stock air filters for the price of that one.

I noticed the squishy foam filter when I was first looking over my new (to me) ride 04 Disco. What first came to mine is this (I am not sure about sales in all areas). Go to a Heating and Air Conditioning store and buy that stuff in a sheet - its sold as a replacement filter for window a/c units (cut to size) (residential). I still had some left from before I got my new Central Unit but, it was was something like ten bucks for a 18 x 36 inch sheet = cut into strips and overlap at the holders. All is Good

So that's where the filter is. I searched the RAVE cd and couldn't find the Cabin Air Filter. I just pulled a second leaf from my blower motor after the buzzing finally drove me nuts. My *filter* seems to have long since disintegrated. I wish they'd put proper pollen type filters on the disco. I guess that was part of the marketing to further differentiate the Range Rover as a higher end vehicle when they introduced the disco II... "Have pollen allergies? Dig deeper & buy the Range Rover instead!!"

Do all your blower motors sound like an aircraft about to take off when on High? Or is it just mine?

No my HVAC fan does not sound like a jet when on high, at least not the last time I had it on high.
I only use 1&2, heater and A/C crank so no need for anything higher than 3 on a 6,000* day.
