Default can I replace just one cat?

I have had a rattly cat for some time now and now that I have all the other issues sorted out I want to go after this noise. I know alot of you have had good results with entire bolt-in front pipes, and I may end up going that route, but if I take mine to an exhaust shop (I have a great one near me) can I save a few bucks and only replace the loud one or should they be replaced in pairs?

Thanks

Andy

Yes, you can replace just one, if only one is bad. Usually the round one that hangs down lower goes bad first anyway. Save the old one, you can sell it to a recycler, though they will mark down the price quite a bit if it's coming apart inside.
