Default Can of Worms - Happy but confused

Happy that these are maintaining a value of sorts but confused as to why.
Is "low mileage" really that great a determining factor for a $15k D2?

Or a shat load of bolt on parts for this $22k one? com'on man........

@NewToTheTwo New to used cars sales the one guy spent a metric ton of money in bolt-ons - around 5000.00.

A good clean used truck with a winch goes for around 7000 to 8000 CDN here. but there are not many, more average is the 2000 to 3000 range.

Those prices sound like a snake oil salesman ad - you know Luxury SUV, by Land Rover outstanding deal at 21,000.00

That's insane.
I firmly believe that buyers on BAT clearly have more money than brains.
They obviously think because it's on BAT it's more valuable than it really is.
Definitely not the first time I've seen that happen.

Your typical good condition D2 is worth about $4-5k. If you throw $5000 in parts at a D2 worth $5000, you will end up with a D2 worth... about $5000.

My coworker once tried to buy an ARB bumper off Craigslist, and the guy would only agree if he would also take the entire truck with him when he left. As a rule, D2s retain value very poorly and are extremely difficult to add value to.

If you go through the history of the guy who bought it, he's spent about $275,000 on there in the last three years. I don't think overpaying for a vehicle is one of his concerns.
