I dont do anything but park on a hill, let it run, open that bleeder. I also squeeze my hoses.

New parts always help.

Green FRESH coolant. Coolant does go bad.
Engine has been rebuilt with new radiator, stat, water pump and new coolant. Replacing the fan tomorrow then the stat if that doesn't work.

Fan replaced. No change. Waiting on new low temp sensor.

Old fan. I hope it is bad.

Your temps are fine. Those are my temps and I run an in-line setup.

some of our trucks run hotter than others. 220 is on the high end but I wouldn’t “shut it down” unless it went over that.

I live in Texas

220 is way higher than you should be while cruising around. You have a badly performing radiator, weak fan, or the normal t-stat and not low temp.

Radiator, fan and water pump all replaced. New genuine 180 stat on its way!

Agreed, I have lived in the south the entire time I have owned Discos. Hottest days it should run no more than 195 going down the road, it should idle at 204 initially but will creep up if you idle for long periods in a car line.

I should be more clear.UP TO 220 at idle or in bumper to bumper traffic would be normal.

when driving, 200 is high.

Any 03-04 D2 with the one piece fan/clutch can run a 99-02 setup. Get the fan clutch and slap it onto an OEM 99-02 fan blade or Dorman 620-112 fan blade. The one piece unit on 03-04’s is extremely over priced IMHO.
