Cardan joint rubber boot
Replacing the centering ball and this rubber boot / seal is cracking all the way thru at the base from what I would consider dry rot. What is it called and any place that sells it? Can’t believe I need to replace my whole drive shaft because of a failed rubber part. I called the local drive shaft rebuilder and they said that my shaft is longer serviceable as parts are not available and it’s been replaced by a shaft with heavier duty 1310 joints

Parts are available, go to STICKY (How to's -- must reads) and there is nice write up on how to rebuild drive train & driveshaft,, it tells you what parts you need,
If you want to rebuild it,, but now days you can buy a new greaseable driveshaft for almost what you will pay for new parts,,

Not sure I’d say Moog quality, but WAY better than OEM. I grabbed a fully grease-able front shaft with the zerk fittings on the caps vs buried up in the X of the U-Joint, for 135.00 off of Ebay from a good retailer. It beats the heck out of the GBR $$$$ shaft in function/fit/finish and certainly blows the OEM shaft out of the water!
