Found this on Toddco website. Aside from the linkage, am I on the right page/track, here?

That's it, or buy an old noisey t/case and just remove the diff from it for half the price.

anyone can chime in about the fact that my CDL from a 1998 Disco would fit?

Jull,

I could be interested in your used t-case if you do sell it. I read onanother thread that you were having some problems with yours. Any of those with your CDL? If not, and those parts are good, do you have any idea what you may part with it for? I'm not afraid of swapping parts if they are good and will work!

No I don't have trouble with my CDL, it engages properly. In the worst case you may need to change bearings. They sell for approximately 20$ and you need 2.

I would sell you only the CDL unit ( it would cost you less shipping ) and depending which parts come with my new t-case I might be able to send you the shifter with it. I would sell it for really cheap in case you would need to change the bearings. I was thinking around 75$ w/o the shifter and 100$ with the shifter + the shipping charges. If you are still interested PM me your adress and we will make arrangements.

Mike (or anyone else in the know), would adding the CDL unit to my t-case require different driveshafts? Do they connect with the same flanges? Do the lengths change? I just replaced my front driveshaft with a heavy duty, greaseable unit last week. I don't know exactly how this unit attaches, yet, but i would like to plan my attack before i dive in.

Where exactly does the CDL unit attach on the t-case? Does it replace some portion of the case, go between the tranny and the t-case, go after the t-case or what? Is ita bolt-on type of application or do certain internal t-case parts have to get modified/swapped to make the connection? Sorry for all the questions, just haven't seen a diagram or even one of these units in person, yet, already on a rig.
