Absolutely 1000%, yes.

I've got the same issue except mine is all on Bank 1. I've replaced everything except the injectors. At least I know what's been replaced and when it was replaced. I may have to pull the top end off and check out my injectors. Glad you got your fixed.

Thanks for replying with the solution. What injectors did you end up getting?

Never read this topic before...and this is exactly how a topic should start and end. My compliments to all that volunteered advice, top notch stuff.

Interesting and frustrating. The remanned injectors I used during my head gasket job came with testing info showing they were good. I don't believe I bought the cheapest however.

I wonder if these bad ones did.

I have a 99 Discovery II with 166k that has a multiple misfire issue as well. I'm working through this forum and others to solve it. Following your causes list, I've replaced plugs, wires, all O2 sensors, and MAF so far. All needed to be replaced and I saved/labeled them if useful. I picked up the Elm 327 and Torque app, my question is how do I measure Compression and Mixture? What do I need to use on the Torque App and what does normal/abnormal look like? Thanks so much, I've been trying to find that information online without luck so far.

what are your codes? bad Injector o rings can cause a lot of misfiring issues as well.

Currently my codes are P1300, P0305, P0307. There were a ton of codes before I did the plugs, wires, and O2s, mostly having to do with O2s and multiple misfires. I also haven't hardly moved it since completing the O2 work. Do I need to do some driving for those to gather more data and update? I've been nervous to drive with as bad as its idling and misfiring.

1. Check wires are seated correctly onto spark plugs and coil pack and that the coil packs are mounted correctly. Check gap on spark plugs.

2. smoke test the Intake. My bet is your injector o-rings are bad or another vacuum leak.

3. Boroscope the cylinders that are misfiring. If they look sooty and black, then (most likely) no coolant is entering the chamber to cause a misfiring. Your codes are for cylinder 5 and 7, which are the back two on the driver side of a left hand drive vehicle closest to the firewall.

If the pistons look sparkly clean inside with the boroscope, then you are burning coolant. Cylinder 5 being clean means cracked block. Cylinder 7 could mean cracked block, but more than likely is an Internal blown head gasket between cylinder 7 and the water jacket. I think that’s unlikely though with two misfiring cylinders.

4. if you have steam cleaning, then get a compression gauge and there’s fit Into the spark plug holes to check pressure. Check rave for pressures but they all should be 150+ psi? Not totally sure so double check the rave manual.it could be 120+. I don’t remember right now. Also do an exhaust gas test in your cooling system. It’s an easy test and you can rent the tools from autozone

5. if no steam cleaning, then I’d reseal the whole top end. You can go as far as head gaskets, head honing, valve job or just reseal from the valley pan up if the exhaust valves and HGs are good. It’s doable over a weekend or two. Check for wear on your valve train components at the same time.

hope that helps. If I missed something or parlayed any incorrect Info, someone please chime in.

my bet is coils or vacuum leak at the injector seals though.

p1300 just means multiple misfires. The other two codes are just cylinder 5 and 7 misfire codes.
