Check Engine light codes P1174 and P1171
The check engine light just came on yesterday and tried to do some checking of the codes, but have 2 different answers as to which it might be. Was told it was
both the O2 Sensors or it could be Electronic Throttle System and Fuel Trim
Adaption.
Does anyone know what these codes are?

Causes, can be ... bad MAF. but maybe not, new maf at British parts of Utah, 145 bucks, ten mins to change.
But it can also be a vacuum leak after the. MAF, so any vacuum line, bad gasket for intake manifold, o ring for injector, valley gasket,or throttle body gasket.
So, the fix is not easy, thus, on mine my Discovery, it ran fine so I took it in and the rover specialist said it was a MAf "for sure". i put in a new MAF and every three days or so the code still pops up. so in the next 6 months or so I am going to replace the head gaskets, so when i do that all the other crap it could be are being replace as part of that fix... so since it runs good, i will wait.
