Default coil pack

Would a blown coil pack cause the spark plugs to look black,sooty, and burnt?

I would think if it were the coil pack, then the plugs wouldlook clean because it shouldnt start If the coil pack is bad .Secondly , the coil pack shouldnt BLOW, maybe crack or something. Check your plugs andplug wires and upgradeto a minimum91 octane gas.Lets go from there and see what happens.

The reason i was asking is because my coil pack is cracked and the plugs were burnt. Could both be caused by bad plug wires? I'm just tryin to figure out why the coil pack cracked.
