I was wondering if anyone had converted their air suspension to coil springs on Disco's with ACE? The RoversNorth catalog says not compatible for vehicles with ACE. My Disco is a 2003.

 

I have a similar situation, haven't seen a kit yet, but can't figure out why. I'll keep searching.

 

I had mine converted for about a year (went back to air) and I had no issues at all. Pretty sure I bought the kit from Atlantic British.

Doesn't say anything about not working with ACE. Did they tell you why its not compatible?

 

They said you would have to change front and rear sway bars and some other things?

 

Glad your's is working. I'll call British Atlantic tomorrow and see what they say.

 

First, why are you wanting to get rid of that air suspension and second, yes you can convert but you will need to add 4 new shocks, coils and 2 rear coil seats.

 

I replaced the leaking air springs a year ago with Arnott air springs. Both sides have small pin holes leaks. Arnott said I had to send them back to cover under warranty. Can't be down with the vehicle that long. Also have replaced the compressor. Tired of messing with the air suspension.

Why do you have to replace the shocks at the same time?

 

You do not need to replace everything at the same time, it is recommended but not necessary.
Buy the spring kit, install it and go.

 

why not call Arnortt order new springs, when they arrive, ship Arnott the old spring and when they warrenty them just have then credit your account. that way you are not down any time and only have to carry the cost of the new springs on a credit card for a week to 10-days. If you remove the SLS you will most likely talk yourself into going with a at least 2 inch lift, which meens new springs, shocks, brakelines, ABS cable extension.
