Default Connector - Can't Identify

Can anyone tell me what this connector is and or for? I was wondering on diagnosing a door lock issue and this fell down into the foot well on the drivers side.

My 00 had this as well, also unconnected to anything (if the helps ease your mind), also with the clip that wasn't clipped into anything.

I noticed when I recently changed out the fuse box under the steering wheel. Spent a few minutes trying to figure out where it should be clipped in, alas, could not find the location to secure it properly.

I don't see it in the D2 electrical library. Probably the wiring harness for one of the non-NAS systems such as automatic headlight levelling or folding mirrors, or maybe the backup warning system.

Thank you for the responses. I am experiencing problems with both my fuel gauge and temperature gauge not registering, and thought I was on to something when I saw this loose connector.
