Default Cooling fan clutch 2000 D2

Hello everyone,
I have gone through two cooling fan clutches in less than a year in my 2000 Disco 2. A new clutch price ranges from $50 to $230. I'm looking for a high quality replacement. Any suggestion please? Thank you.

If your fan clutch keeps going out, maybe your fan isn't balanced well.

Thank you for your reply. Great observation. I've looked at it, it turns rather slowly. I did not notice any wobbling, I'll look at it again after I replace the clutch. Thank you for your suggestion.

Thank you so much for your reply. I ordered a ÜRO PARTS ERR4996 {#URO008758} part from Rockauto. It was the most expensive one on the replacement list, have no idea if a higher price means it it is better. I put your suggestion in my spreadsheet. Thank you for taking time to reply. Have a great day. S.R.

In the Land Rover world price has no correlation to quality. Some people/places will charge a lot just because Rover = Baller to them.

As far as I know Uro Parts are hit and miss. Be prepared to do this again with the Hayden.

Best of luck and let us know how it goes.

I think the Hayden / Dorman combo is way superior to the factory unit. For one the fan is replaceable independent of the clutch and appears to be way more robust. Can't beat the cost and availability too.

So to be clear, is the recommendation to use a Dorman 620-112 fan along with a Hayden 2781 fan clutch assembly?
And this is superior to a standard LR supplied part because...? I’m in the market so I’d like to know the thoughts
thanks
i have an 04 by the way.
