Default Cooling intake air

Whilst sitting at my desk from a hard day of roving in the Disco, I had an epiphany; Does installing a snorkel bring cool air in for intake, and besides looking good, does this have any merit to it?? As I chortle deeply into my snifter of apple brandy, I think sometimes how clever my ideas are.

Mine lowered my average intake Temps while moving, but they rise quickly while sitting still.

+1 I thought my snorkel would greatly reduce intake temps but there is not much difference.

At cruising speed it stays within 10* of the ambient temperature,

While sitting I have seen it rise to over 150*

Bypassing the throttle heater has helped drop my intake temps some. If you can find a deal on one I'd do the snorkel since driving is when you would want cooler temps anyways.

While eating grey poupon with petrossian and token on a Covina, I deduced that if my garage servants reroute my cold air producing magic box to the air intake...Charles, my chauffeur, could manually control the intake temp.

I say, bully for you ole chap. Another splendid idea
