Default Cooling system help!!! Leak

Merry Christmas all,

Heading out to do some wheeling with the family and cooling fluid is all over the ground. The bleed screw in the t section of the cooling pipes has cracked an coolant sprayed everywhere. No over heating, but is there a better part than the stock as I'd like to replace and not deal with it again.

Thanks in advance

That's what we got, no aftermarket:

If the bleed screw on yours is in the "T" of the hose, you've got the latest and greatest from LR. The only thing that might last longer than lipadj46's link, would be a metal "T" pipe, with a bleeder attached.

If I'm looking at the part correctly it seems as if I have to purchase the T with the hoses and all? Would the stealership have just the T portion or is it best to use the new hose?

Thanks again

"T' section with hoses is all you can get from AB, the dealership, or anywhere aftermarket, unless you're willing to fabricate your own.

I went with the AB kit fOr lack of fab skills i figure I might as well throw them the business and save myself the hassle of the stealership

If all you need is the bleed screw, that can be purchased from a BMW dealer for around $7 and is a perfect replacement.

Is there a specific part number? Or can I simply call and ask for the bleed screw? Mine split into pieces.

You can use this brass one instead, it is more durable and will probably last the life of the truck. http://www.bmpdesign.com/product-exec/product_id/6857

I misread the original post. I thought the "T" itself had cracked. I do remember reading about the BMW replacement on this forum, I don't remember if a part number was given, but I believe a specific BMW model was given.
