Cooper Discoverer AT3 vs. Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61
I'm looking for some new tires for my hunting rig.
The driving consists of about 4 hours on freeway (mostly snowy, but wet if the snow is gone for a short spell). Then, about 45 minutes on gravel roads (again, mostly snowy) then about one hour on basalt rock (again, snowy, with some smallish boulders but nothing that would require crawling) with a few fairly deep and rutted mud puddles to get through. No sustained mud, however.

Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61
I'm wondering if anybody has experience with either of these tires. Both look to be good in snow (by far the most important thing to me) and capable of the light off-roading I'd do, while having good road manners around town.

Get the Coopers hands down.
I have the Cooper Discoverer S/T and I LOVE them, they are great in the snow, offroad, rain...
You might also want to look into the Cooper ATR.
If you go to Coopers web site they rate their truck tires for offroadness.
Example, my S/T's are rated as 60% off road and 40% on road, the ATR's are rated as 60% on road and 40% off road, the STT's are rated 80% off road and 20% on road, you get the idea.
Anything with a H/T is for highway use only.

I've had both sets of tires before. Currently have the Kumbo tires now and have no complaints. They are quiet on the hwy and have been able to handle everything off road to date.
