Default Custom DII bumper

So I got a 03 DII that was already slightly lifted. I wanted to make my own custom front bumper to get rid of the jeep bumper that I bought it with. It started with a sketch then a prototype cardboard bumper then detail sketch then wood prototype to the steal bumper final. Here is the process that I went through.

Now all I need is winch.

Tell me what you think now?

That is sick. Keep posting pics. Can I ask how much it cost you to fabricate?

That's awesome. Wish I has the tools to do that.

I was very lucky because I have a good friend that owns a big steel and fab. shop and was able to it for free.

Bumper would be a thousand times better if you recessed it like 4", it sticks out too far. Nice work though.

I personally really like that look. Plus if you are putting a bull bar mounted from the top, you will probably need the room.

Looks really great. Can't wait to see the finished product.

That's the wimpiest looking bumper in the first pic! Your custom bumper looks great! Much better suited to the truck and looks like it means business

Thanks once I get the fairlead in and the two 7inch lights with bull bar I think it will look better. I do agree that right now with nothing on it it sticks out quite a bit.

Looks like you want to go play. Has the front drive shaft been rebuilt or replaced yet, how about your weak diffs, with those tires you will want to look ata CDL up date along with lockers.
