Default Custom Interior PowerTank Mounting Rack Complete

Wanted to show everyone the mounting rack I made for my PowerTank. It holds the PowerTank + My Bike Pump -- soon to hold an LED flashlight.
I used a heavy gauge piece of shelving that I scored from Home Depot. I cut it to fit in the window area, also bent/wrapped it to curve up the contour of the Alpine window. Then I took off the interior alpine molding. I sprayed it with black Rust-Oleum bed liner to match my bumper and black cargo bins. Wrapped the outside of the rack with 1/4" wire loom from Harbor Freight. I used PowerGrab to mount a piece of wood behind the interior molding where it screws in at the top. The cargo bin still opens fine. Since I'm not an Owl and can't turn my head 360 I never look out of that window anyway. Its the Rover Sticker window. My rover is so darkly tinted no can see that I have a power tank unless they are snooping with a flashlight. Its parked in the garage away from all the potential thievery.
If you look at Postal Mini vans they have the same thing mounted in their windows to discourage mail theft.
Another kickass project marked off the list.

Nice work! I just got a 2'x4' Staples display grid to install on the rear window but am trying to figure out how to mount it. I'm thinking self tapping screws directly into the metal - but if that doesn't work I may switch to the side windows like you did. Thanks for the ideas.

A piece of furring strip or 3/4" x 2" wood fits in that upper area below the Alpine window. Also same strip of wood fits behind the cargo area. Easy to use a few coarse thread drywall screws with shelving brackets. 3 to 4 screws and its in there solid. I've been offroading with it 4 times now; its not going anywhere.
