Cyclical squeak after axle seals, diffs etc.
Hello everyone. So I recently installed my built diffs, and rear driveshaft from GBR and when I did that I replaced the axle seals since I had to pull the axles. Torqued everything to spec.
now I have a squeak squeak sound from driver front wheel area. Sounds like a rock stuck in a rotor dust shield kind of noise
Areas the noise could be coming from; I’m on 4in tf springs (no spring isolators), sway bar disconnects, fox shocks (these have eyelet connections on the bottom unlike OME etc), and lastly a well maintained TW front driveshaft...I highly doubt it’s the drive shaft because it’s definitely from the front driver wheel.
any ideas? Link to a video I took:

- only makes it when driving in gear forward and reverse. Not during coasting
- doesn’t make it when diff lock is engaged (2004 D2)

CV's in good shape I'd assume? It sounds like a suspension or bushing squeak. With it not squeaking while coasting that means whatever it is has to be under load to squeak. When you installed the new seals did you lube them with anything so that when you installed the axles they weren't totally dry? I'll be up that way next weekend so maybe Billy and I can come over and check it out.

I doubt it’s the center ball. I don’t think the noise would be so obviously from the wheel area

So the cv’s don’t make any clicking sounds, and the boots are not torn...but yeah it could be the cvs i suppose.
I feel like it may be the hub bearing as they’ve been on the truck for over 160k.
Right now, I plan on completing at least 100 miles break in on my diffs before pulling the axle out again. Unless someone can scare me otherwise.
So after a second inspection, I put a thin coat of hitemp grease on the rotor face where the wheel contacts and a second test drive I notice it DOES make the noise even when diff is locked. Where as before it didn’t. I think I could’ve mis heard it the first time

So UPDATE!! It was the front driveshaft...I have a video I'll post shortly...the drive shaft is a well maintained Tom Woods with about 30k on it or less.....definitely suss
Video is kinda janky but about 20 seconds in you can definitely hear it bad.
