Default Cylinder 6 & 4 misfiring and lack of power

Hi all,
I'm a second owner of a 2003 discovery 4.0L running 62 thousands kilo meters.
Cylinder 6 & 4 are misfiring and lack of power in the truck.
From a LR dealer I bought & replaced the two wire of cylinder 6 & 4 with the whole set of spark plugs but no improvement.
Please any suggestion to solve this issue??

Did you pull the codes? If so, what codes are you showing?

If you checked the wires and plugs, I would assume your next best bet would be the upstream o2 sensor on that bank. Best bet is to buy both upstream o2's at the same time. I went ahead and just bought all 4 when I did mine. It makes it a lot easier if you have a bent socket for o2's if you are going to do the job yourself.

But before I would do anything I would go to a parts store and use their code reader (if you don't have access to one), most will do for free, and post the actual codes you are getting. Then look them up in the RAVE manual as well.

P.S. - you might want to invest in a $50 reader to have handy for the future as well.

rj which reader do you recommend for 50 bucks, do you have any links to it?

I thought about getting this one so I could get live readings (oil pressure, NC state inspection emissions hehe etc),

I got mine on eBay - full on OBD2 reader (w/descriptions) and clears codes. It even has real-time values so I can drive around with it on and/or check to see what my compressions are and what the "real" temp is. LCD screen, freeze frame, live data, and with a separate cord for it I can hook it up to my BMW motorcycle to function with the CAN bus.

Mine is a TOPTAK TP-180CAN and I think it was right under $60 shipped to my door. They sell this one at the Advanced Auto here for like $130 or something.

If you really want to spend good money you get a Hawkeye that will work for the ABS systems on this truck to. I couldn't justify the $600 tho...
