Default D2 Dog Guard

I just purchased a used dog guard for my D2. I see the hardware kit for sale (stc50231) so I thought it would not be an issue to get the mounting hardware. I down loaded a copy of the Land Rover installation instructions.

Now something doesn't look right. My guard has the LR part number of STC 50082 while the instructions say STC 50082AA. It looks like they changed the guard at some point making it mount different. Does anyone know anything about a mounting change and if the old style hardware is available anywhere?

Mine looks like this with the pins mounted on the guard. The newer style looks like it has a bracket that mounts to the guard and extends to the rear a few inches.

That would be great. Its kind of hard to find pictures of these anywhere.

I use: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

After you set up a free account, you click on upload now. This will let you look through the pictures on your computer and select the ones you want to upload to photobucket. Once you upload and save them to your album on photobucket you can click on the IMG CODE below the picture. This will copy it and then you just right click in the post and paste it. The picture will show up when you hit preview post or submit reply.

Thank you for posting the pictures, they were very helpful. Mine definately will not work with the new mounting kit. Unless I can find someone with the old hardware kit laying around I think I have a new trellis for my tomatoes next year.

No problem. Get creative and make your own mounting brackets.

I will probably use your pictures to make brackets if I can't find a set. It should work with the new style hardware then.
