Default Dang Bought another on, DII this time

Alright, I have a 99 DI, blue with tan, I now am the proud owner of another one, a 2001 DII Blue with Tan, 74k miles, pretty basic, no sunroofs, no ace, but a fairly solid truck. I have almost all of the records, Land Rover Mira Mar in San Diego and California Rover in Encinitas. 74k miles, head gaskets and full tune up done at 65k miles, rear brakes done at 66k miles. Regular oil changes, almost new front tires, new spare, 50% on the rears. On the drive home last night some 20 miles or so (after driving it about 30 miles in my test drives) and the Service Engine Soon light comes on, you can only imagine my excitement! Got up early this morning, detailed it out and then hooked up the scanner. Po133 Fault, O2 Sensor bank one side one. I cleared the code and am praying that it doesn't come on again. Filled it with premium and dropped in a bottle of Chevron injector cleaner...I need to get it smogged but I need to wait for the cycle to run. The truck runs pretty well. I do notice a surging with the cruise control on. Any ideas? I ran a search on this forum and found hoses, ecu reprogramming, dealer Tech Bulletins, is there a quick way to determine what the issue is? How often will the P0133 Code come on and then when cleared stay off? How tough is it to replace the O2 sensor if that is needed? I also note that I will need front rotors and pads soon, new rears. How tough is it to change the rotors and pads on the DII vs. the DI? Thanks again, photo to follow soon. Phil

If I recall, the cruise is vacuum operated, so I'd check the hoses for the source of the surge issue. Rotors are easily changed on the D2 - check AB for brake packages. O2 sensors on the D2 are also easy to get to and replace - suggest the OEM. Don't forget to post pics!
