Default Diagnosing a Leak

This is my very first post so please forgive me if I've overlooked something.

Recently purchased my first Disco II to tool around with. First project is diagnosing this leak. The line attaches behind the Pump Pulley and connects to what looks like a "smaller radiator" in front of the radiator. Engine searches to find the right name for this "smaller radiator" have come up only as reference to an Upper and Lower radiator but I can't actually find the appropriate part name. I just need some help finding the right name for the line and the part it attaches to so that I can search the repair appropriately.

It looks like a coolant leak.

Thank you in advance. I look forward to using these forums and getting this neglected vehicle back on the trails.

That's the power steering, pretty common spot for a leak. That hose is number QEP105481. There is not a radiator actually, those are transmission and oil (if you have one) coolers. The PS is just a hard line that loops in front of the main rad (the longest one in this photo). I'll bet though that it's the pump itself that's leaking and just working it's way down the hose.

More common is a leaking rear cover gasket on the pump - you can get one for about $7 out of poland off ebay.

Well, bad news... While there is a leak at the power steering pump, as the first reply has helped me diagnose, the problem is much more severe. While the Power Steering fluid was indeed leaking, the real culprit did turn out to be a coolant leak from a nearby location.

I drove it unaware of the coolant leak. I stopped at a redlight. The Oil temperature gauge went high, then low and did this a few times. Truck shut off. Pulled it over on the side of the road and checked for leaks... Didn't see anything leaking. Checked the Coolant resevoir. Empty. Refilled the reservoir and noticed it was dumping under the truck. Looks like the seal on some housing has failed. Looked like a box, will post pictures tomorrow.

Thank you for the responses.

Coolant dumping out of the front usually means front cover gasket failed.

The leak is coming from behind this bracket... I say leak, but as I pour coolant into the reservoir, it just pours out here.

In that area, could be head gasket, cracked block, or core plug.

Get a mirror.
See if it's coming from between the block and head, or from a freeze plug.

Problem located. Freeze Plug is missing.

Symptoms were as follows. After a night of freezing temperature I noticed a small leak under the Rover. Unable to find the correct source of the leak (falsely assumed it was the PS fluid) I drove the vehicle. After overheating, I checked the reservoir. It was empty so I attempted to refill. I wasted the anti-freeze as it just poured out of the vehicle through the Freeze Plug hole.

I'm re-iterating the process clearly without any of my false assumptions, in case anyone else experiences the same issue.

Thank you for the responses. Each one was very helpful to help diagnose what to look for.
