so the ttrack is just a built up replacement for stock config, while the detroit will add the option to lock the front and rear diffs for left right?

good article, but where does the disco fit since thats jeep?

heres what i gather, please correct me where im wrong for the disco system:

front and rear diffs are limited slip, so you can still lose side to side traction, and also front to rear unless you lock the differential. with trutrack, it would remain the same situation, but with different gear ratios and stronger components... while with the detriot it would be the same storey, but benefit from the fact that you could lock the front and rear diffs in the same fashion as you can the xfer case now?

are you talking about the scenario if you put a Detroit in the front and rear? you have traction control now not a LSD.

just open diffs. traction control is an electronic braking of a wheel that is spinning. a limited slip diff is a mechanical stop on a spinning wheel.

This is it from what I understand talking to Disco Mike.

Detroit locker rear -best option. It allows different wheel speeds for on road driving
True Track front. One wheel revolution slip and it locks up the front to full lock.

More reliable than ARB air compressor driven as it is all mechanical. No air lines to break or compressor to malfunction.

You will need to upgrade the rear axles to 24 spline to support the locker. I am not sure about the front.

The truetrac isn't a full locker.

If you run the lines right the risk of them breaking are very slim. Compressor failure is certainly a risk, but then you just use your winch.

Ever land rover since about mid 1993 should have 24 spline axles already. The only NAS trucks that would have 10 spline would be older range rovers and maybe some 1993 110's, but I doubt it.
