Default Diff / Lo-Range

as you probably know i hav a 2003 discovery XS, and obviously it has the transfer gearbox for the lo and high range, but does it have a locking diff ? or is that the lo- range ? im confused. i cant move the lever to the left when i engage lo range which im sure your supposed to be able to do if you have the locking diff,

hopefully someone will be able to clear this up for me as i am bloody confused

I don't think any 03s have locking.

O3 are among those that don't have the CDL. There have been many people who have replaced that case with one that has the locking ability, but you need to really need it to relace it cause it is pretty expensive.
What are you planning to do with this truck?

just wanted to know before we take it off roading properly. this is what weve done so far, the only decent bit is around the middle of the video, if you wish to watch it through that far. as you can see it strugles a little to get up the incline, any way thanks for the help

Some wheelspin will occur before the traction control helps you up.

You also need to get an air compressor so you can lower your tire pressurefor better grip.
