Hello Guys...

I have available a 02 DII with 100,000 Kms on it (62K Miles), and yes, it is a Diesel!!!

I have read that it is very difficult to install the diff lock ancillaries to this model, specifically. Could anyone here please explain a bit more this? I mean... do I need to replace the tranny, or drill it and install the components that are missing, or what?

Also, if anyone could help me highlighting the issues that this model has.

you are selling you truck? where are you located?

 

I am going to buy one. If you want, I can sell it to you but I live in Guatemala. You would have to pay shipping & transport to USA. Shipping a car from Guatemala to US is between 500 and 800 US$ plus the ground transportation to your location.

 

we can't import diesels into the US.

to answer your orig post. the transfer case doesnt offer a diff lock. you would need a new transfer case.

 

can't you also replace the front output shaft housing with one that has a cdl?

 

You can buy a new Ashcroft diff. unit for around $360 and install it to your current t/case.
