I lucked out thanks to this forum and was able to free up my differential lock using the brute force method..I found this link on here in case anyone else has the same problem.

Just another note to point out this is not the "approved"method. You can really bend stuff up.

I do want to do the 4.6 conversion pretty bad, though

I can see that..I didn't get crazy with it. I lucked out that it wasn't froze too bad.

Don't tell anyone, but I had to push on mine once pretty hard. Passenger door open leaning in. Couldn't get it unlocked off a trail. Once freed up, worked perfectly...

D1's and d90's are know for bending or breaking their linkage, not advised.

I lucked out...its not my DD so it was worth a shot. If I had seen the warnings I may not have done it.

I'm going to engage it normally to avoid doing it again. But I did it as carefully as I could...I didn't start whaling on it like a mad man...lol..
