I have a 2003 Discovery 2. I recently upgraded to a center locking differential. Now I’m having Ashcroft ATBs installed both front and rear. Does anyone have this setup? What kind of performance gains can I expect. I’ve read these differentials work vey well with the Discovery’s traction control. Has that been your experience. Very eager for it to be completed and am interested in hearing others experience. Thanks

Should be fantastic, from what I understand. Due to how detroits or LSDs work act in the snow/winter driving conditions I chose to go with a selectable locker however I wheel often with a RRC with a detroit rear and a ATB up front and it makes everything look easy. Personally I think the extra coin for selectable lockers is worth it however the detroits and ATBs are very well proven options.

I was originally going to go with a Detroit rear and a Truetrac up front. Spoke with a technical guy at Lucky 8 (Eric) and he made a convincing argument for the Ashcroft ATB's as the better choice. He is a sharp guy and I have no reason to doubt him. I'm just looking for people's real world experience. They are being installed as we speak so I'm committed.
