Default disabling ABS

Hi all,

Discovery 96, V8, 4.0L

I need to disable the ABS temporarily. Which fuses/relays would I have to remove?

Is there anything else I have to do?

Thanks a lot,

Open the hood, the fuse box on the left fender there is a fuse maked ABS, pull that fuse and save it for later use. You are done. The ABS light will come on on the dash, but thats all, you are good to go.

On second thought, it might not be marked in the fuse box, check your owners manual, it will tell you what number fuse it is, but you pull the one from under the hood,NOT under the dash.

Hi Spike,

There are three ABS fuses according to my owners manual.

Two in the fuse box in the engine compartment (ABS pump & ABS valve) and one under the dash.

Should I disconnecto the ABS pump & ABS valve fuses only?

Thanks,

I only have one ABS fuse under the hood, 30A, ABS Valve. That is the one I pulled. The cover on the under hood fuse box is labeled with the fuse name and amperage.
