Talking Disco 2 Keyfob Buttons

The buttons on my 1999 Series 2 Disco fell off and in addition the activator for the opening button also disappeared so I was locked out of my vehicle. The key would not open the door and when I called the dealer he quoted me £180 for a new key plus I still had to gain entry to my Disco and get it to the dealer - mega bucks
I went online (out of desperation) and found my saviour in the form of Landyworld who have an online shop Online shop stocking Land Rover Modification bits, Accessories, Land Rover Parts, workshop consumables, extended axle breather kits, egr valve removal kits and much much more! . They completely refurbished my keyfob so that it looks like new, only charged £21 inc postage and I had my key back within 4 days of posting it to them which included the weekend. Spoke to Mike at Landyworld who was really helpful and went out of his way to help and the price was reasonable.
I would recommend Landyworld for anyone with a broken keyfob
Keep on rolling
Bryan

This is the best & cheapest solution I have found:

2 Buttons LAND ROVER DISCOVERY KEY FOB REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY COMBO KEY CASE SHELL | eBay

This is a complete replacement of the outside case and the rubber buttons.

You remove the key (metal portion) and circuit board from your current controller and put them inside the new one.

The metal key portion is very tight when trying to remove it from your original controller but it does slide out.

I have repaired both of my remotes that had cracked/missing buttons and they work great.

The outside casing of the new controllers has all of the exact same markings as the original.

You can also take the uncut replacement metal keys (the ones you relace with your original) and have them cut to be used as spares in case you ever snap one of your keys.

Half an hour to an hour labor.

Way over priced.

For someone in my area, I'd program it for them for free, or maybe for lunch. But they'd have to get the barcode somehow. There are some people on the forums that know how to get them at the dealer.

Edit: I don't need the bar code anymore.
