Has anyone come accross a NATO hitch for the removable hitch socket on the Disco 3, to allow to swap between the ball and nato hitch

You may want to put this in the LR3 sub-forum as well. The Discovery 3 is the LR3 in the States so you don't get as many owners in this particular sub-forum.

It's a hitch used by NATO. AKA pintle hitch.

I have a pintle/ball combo hitch on the back of my Disco that slides in and out of the receiver hitch. I call it my "shin killer" but now that my truck is lifted it's more of a knee killer.

 

It's so that you can pull artillery and trailer mounted generators.
We cant do cool stuff like that here in the US.

 

I got tired of the looks I got towing a Howitzer cannon down the road so I stopped. No one understood that was my security system.
