Question Disco Lug Nuts

Our Discos use oversize lug nuts....thus....we have big nuts....
I am looking to convert to aftermarket wheels and the manuf. rep said
I will need to convert to "acorn spline nuts". Same thread etc. but thinner
to fit into the mounting holes.

Has anyone done this ? Is there an issue with having...gulp....smaller nuts...?

Please reply if you know anything about this. I don't have much time to take
this deal on these wheels. Thanks !

Is there a good aftermarket nut that fits and doesn't cost 15 dollars a piece?
