I never use mine for the exact reason anneliesmae mentioned. what does sport mode do besides change shift points?
from the looks of it,,,nothing.
it just allows the motor to rev up to the top of the rpm range before shifting. mucho fun

Put the transfer case in low range. That mode button allows for "MANUAL" mode. Now, that is FUN!
SPORT mode has a sharper shift and allows for higher shift points. Nice when towing too..

Just move the gear selector through the gears. 1, 2, 3, D = 4th. Nice thing is you can start from a stop in 2nd gear and hold it in a gear or shift early. Like a manual transmission without the clutch pedal. fun to play with off-road.

Alot of people find that if they drive normal in town with the sport mode engaged, you will actually get slightly better mileage because of less throttle pressure.ORIGINAL: AnnelieseMae
