better mileage would be nice, I'll leave mine in sport mode next fill up and see what I get.

 

I'm going to do the same and see if the hills here in San Francisco are conquered any easier.

apcollin, believe me, the first thing I'm doing when I have 60-100 grand lying around (don't I wish?) is getting a diesel + 5 speed conversion on my DI. As well as a few other mods :P

 

i have a 5 speed dogleg 1st - 2nd in my 308. thats plenty fun

 

Don't know about stock tires, but when you run bigger tires, sport mode counter acts the bigger turning radius of ther tiresby allowing the engine to go higher in r.p.m before changing gears, therefore saving gas because the engine struggles less .

 

now there is something to think about?

now are we talking 18"ers or big mammoth 24" wheels?b

one disco i looked at locally had the stock wheels chromed or polished. it was scary gross looking,,,,

 

explain the sport mode vs big tires thing again please. hopefully if you use small words, speak slowly, and i watch your lips move i may get this.
