Default Discovery II Mystery

Hello!
Anyone have this issue?

This week, when slowly accelerating between 30-40 mph, there is a slight grinding or high vibration sound on the left side of the vehicle. However, location is more figurative not proven. Then, it stops after that speed range. The vehicle also has a vibration when you fist accelerates through 30 mph.

This year, we have replaced these things:
1. All fluids except for the power steering, ACE, and transmission.
2. front prop shaft
3. RotoFlex
4. Engine mounts

We are curious about the transmission mounts but don't want to take off the frame cross member because a bolt is going to strip. If anyone has some tricks of how to remove the mount bolts on the RH mount as there seems to be insufficient space for a socket to remove the upper two bolts mounting the stand off to the transfer case as instructed to do in the repair manual.

Has anyone encountered this issue? The forum info is drying up a little in this category and we are a little fatigued with possible solutions.
Thank you!

I would say check the tranny fluid first, maybe even flush it. Then see if the issue is still there.

by chance, does the vibration go away if you are one a higher gear?

Default Thank you

Thank you for responding. I'll be able to check in a few days and yes, I really do need to flush the transmission. Checked the transfer case and it was fine, but so much more to do.

Yes, the vibration is more at the lower gears than anything else...below 35mph.

Much appreciated
