I would have cut it off just behind the front seats as far back as they'll go with an inch or 2 for the seat to recline. It's kind of a cool idea to turn a Disco into a pickup. It worked for the Series, why not the Disco.

yup, good find. but i think its really ugly, the roll bar total offroad only isnt my thing. i like to still keep the turn head daily driver disco

The part I find reaallly ugly is - notice the winch cable? If I ever have to winch up something that simple (I realize I'm not seeing the 'Big Picture") I will trade mine in!

nice find, I've been looking but couldn't find a pic of somebody doing this. I like the SUT look myself and have thought about buying a D1 for a SUT project trail rig.

The placement of the DI lights make it really ideal to turn it into a truck. Wouldnt work with a DII without lots of rear light mods. I kinda like it though...
