Default Does anyone know this symbol on dash?

I got a 99 DII that will not crank.
And this is a new symbol on the odometer LCD screen.
Possibly this could be my clue.
I added it as an attachment.
It's the B looking part with the slash thru it.
Thanks.

Hi. The M+S are blinking.
Thanks for the link will, been searching days for that without
much luck. Guess I will be rebuilding an xyz switch, hope it's not
the fuse box.

Think about it, look at it closely, that is your PRND321 indicator, the different parts of the LCD light up when needed.
Right now they are all lit at the same time.

I am gonna pull it off tomorrow, test it, the xyz switch.
I guess it's shorted since all symbols are lit.
The gear shift lock was giving issues, maybe xyz is that cause.

Ok, so I pulled it out.
And it seems to work right, get contunuity thru contacts.
Anyone heard of anything else that might cause a no crank condition.
I get codes P0705, xyz switch
P1668, security signal high.
Alarm light on dash is off, alarm seems to work properly.
I checked the fuses under the seats like Rave shows, they are good.
I did find a CD changer under the passangers seat, be cool if the truck would crank.

PS. It shows the same symbols on dash with the switch totally removed from vehicle.

Someone posted a link suggesting it might be the fuse box. How does your fuse box look?

I tried to check it today, but there is no fusebox under the passengers dash like it says there should be.

I found a fuse box under every seat, and one under the hood, and all fuses look fine.

Will read the truck manual again and see if it has the inner fuse box in a location other than where the rave says.

I did look for any signs of water leaks, drips, corrosion and see none.
The far back sunroof leaks, but have had no other leaks.

Thanks for trying to help.
I am dam near on the last straw with this.
Hope I don't blow the chevelle motor when I go out for stress relief later today.

If in Rave it says passenger's side.... they MAY mean drivers.... they are kind of biased to their homeland and sometime forget to be general with "left" and "right" instead of drivers and passengers.

EDIT: Just checked my 99. It's under the driver's side. Use a dime and turn the two screw on the panel under the steering column a 1/4 turn and fold it down.

You'll want to look at the back side too... for corrosion and stuff. Notice how rusty it is in mine? I guess it is a common place for water leaks.
