So I have heard much talk about how the Land Rover LR2 doesnt quite match the abilities as the Discovery II. I found this video of a LR2 doing a crazy wall climb and I couldnt really see the Discovery II doing better. As a matter of fact, I dont even think a Stock Discovery II could even do it.

That is a LR3 the newer model of the discovery. In other places it is called the discovery 3. They have also released the most current generation the LR4. The LR2 is a much smaller vehicle, basically the newer version of the freelander. Think along the lines of the Ford Escape and you are getting close.

 

You are way wrong.first thats a lr3,heck yes a D2 can do that probley better cause it has a shorter wheel base.

 

IMHO, the DII and the LR3 are apples and oranges. The DII will kick the LR3's butt in some categories and the LR3 will win in others. DII's got solid axles, LR3 has fancy pancy independent height adjustable suspension

And bmw zhp is right, the same driver in a stock DII could do the same thing that LR3 is doing in that video.

The Discovery 3 is called the LR3 in the US because of the Discovery's bad reputation. Land Rover knew American's were too dumb to figure it out. lol
