Does the Yellow make this unique?

Saudi grill is also another unique option. The brush guard & lights was also normally on them. Front bumper is also unique as it’s shorter with no spoiler, but it has custom plastic panels to close it off. The roof racks weren’t always standard & some were removed if the customers drove it into parking garages often or didn’t need the rack.
D2 SE Kalahari Specific:
Safariguard Rockers
Upper/Lower Rear Metal Lamp guards
Black Vinyl Dura Fabric Seats
Grey Dash & Silver Trim Accents
Borrego Yellow (150), White (150), or Grey (150) exterior paint
Saudi Grill
Safari 5000 Aux Lights & LR Brush Guard
16inch Grey Metallic Wheels
Custom Front Bumper without a spoiler
Not available ever as an SE7 & the only real option was the cold weather package with heated seats & front windshield, the rest was all standard. Very unique Special Vehicle & it was put together on a separate line vs with other D2’s.

Best,
I blew my rear ring/pinion in my D2 last year, and as I was educated about the drive line, all the stock components & why at which points in time Land Rover allegedly decided or did not decide to invest in upgrades along the way.
GBR in Utah, spent some lengthy time with me giving what I felt was some of the best time and information I could have sought.
one thing he claimed that LR special Vehicle had a more aggressive Traction control program. He went on to explain why and how this has positive/adverse...
curious if anyone’s also confirmed this added limited edition dosage.

But, given the common issues these things have, who knows.
There are red, yellow, or blue paint marks on the front of each block. Doesn't each color represent a quality grade of A, B, or C? Like RR getting an A quality P38, and a D2 getting the B or C leftovers?
I remember reading about those colors here before, but cannot find the thread.

Only D2 to roll off the line with fully fitted CDL = 04. However 99-02 (early 02) in fact had the CDL nipple on the TC. They just didn’t add a linkage. It took me longer to drill out the rivets holding the plate in vs the actual 04 CDL lever install & sticking the SLABS unit in.
My Kalahari is a beast off road!

Best, is there any way to confirm that this is not a fake Kalahari? It's missing the Land Rover SPECIAL VEHICLES plate that should be mounted on the front bulkhead to the right of the hood latch mechanism, although I read your response in another recent thread that none of the Special Vehicles you own or have owned have had the plate. The holes are there where the plate would have been mounted.
