Default Driiveshaft Question

I have a proshaft driveshaft and was servicing it, but noticed the nipple for the constant velocity unit hidden. I have attached a photo and will try to get a better on, but can anyone give me insight on what I am seeing? To me it appears that the outer ring has shifted. I would appreciate a more knowledgabel person's opinion.

once again hard to tell on the pic maybe you can circle it.

but some shafts use inverted grease fittings, which require a point adapter to inject greese into the fitting.

They are either on the ends or on the cross of the ujoint , depending on u joint
Zerk for centering ball is tucked away behind the ujoints and usually requires dropping that end of the shaft to access

It's not the nipple on the U Joint, but the constant velocity unit in between them. If you look past the U Joint on the left you can see in between the two U Joints there appears to be a hidden grease joint.

The original LR OE cardan (Hookes) joints don't have grease nipples for the UJ's or centre bearing. To access the centre bearing inverted grease nipple on an aftermarket shaft in most if not all cases you need to unbolt the flange and manipulate the joint to expose the grease nipple if you are lucky enough to have one.

I have one, but I don't think I can get to it. I will unbolt it and get a better look.

Anybody know if the Precision 617 has a grease fitting for a needle attachment?
If it does, can it be lubed without unbolting anything?

I'd like to grease the centering ball but dread having to disassemble it just to inject some grease.

thx.
