So, does anyone else have problems with foot-space while driving? Even just in shoes the panel is too close I'm concerned that when driving in double-plastic mountaineering boots they just won't fit. Anyone made the space there bigger? any hints?

Yes the foot well is a little tight, but I know that after hiking in just backpacking heavy
boots the first thing I want to do is get out of my boots.

I do find it hard to drive with my crampons on unless I
use my ice ax.

Yeah, I'm thinking of putting a 'please remove crampons before entering' little warning on the passenger door Yeah, it's mostly on ice climbing trips, until now I've been in a 6-speed so I was always the last one ready to head to the ice when we stopped.
