Default Driver (left) side access panel

Greetings all. I recently replaced the headliner in my '03 Disco SE7 and noticed a small electrical connector under a plastic panel just above the driver's position. Does anyone know what goes in here? Is it some kind of courtesy light, or something else? Any help is much appreciated.

It is where an ultrasonic module mounts in some DII models. The ultrasonic module is part of the anti-theft system. It triggers the alarm if a window is broken. It also triggers the alarm if you lock the truck using the keyless entry fob, leave a sunroof open, and a gust of wind blows by the truck.

Hey Mino1, thanks for the info. Does the alarm still work? I'm assuming (yes, I know) it does and the extra device is just that, extra but unnecessary.

the alarm system still works without the ultrasonic sensors. they are just additional trigger devices.
