Default Easy fix for dry rotted weather stripping

I was sick of seeing the dry rotted weather stripping around all of the windows on my D2, so I took a razor and cut it. I don't have the steadiest of hands but it came out looking pretty good. I just rested the blade against the edge of the window and lightly pressed down as I slid it around the window.

Try sliding something flat, hard and thin under the stripping to serve as a barrier between the stripping and paint. Maybe try something like a plastic file folder.
