Default Electric Cooling Fan Running

Hello Everyone,

I was hoping someone could help. I just got my 03 Disco back from the dealer. I brought it in to have them checkout why my cooling fan continually runs. After about 10 minutes it will kick on and never shut off no matter what the temp is outside (with AC off). After 2 days investigating the problem the dealer said that this is how the cooling fan is supposed to operate for the 03 Disco only. Has any other 03 Disco owners run across this?

thanks,

steve

Default RE: Electric Cooling Fan Running

Check the sensing unit. the relay. I don't buy the "it is suppose to be that way" I have worked on vehicles for over 20 years. I have not heard of that being a norm on any cooling system. The fan is to maintain the engine at max efficency. Questions. Is the fan activated properly? hope it helps gotta love a rover. duboff
