Arrrrg.... how in the hell do you get this bolt out. It is on the right side exhaust manifold. I want to put a new gasket on it but can't get it apart.
There is a heat shield on on side which prevents a wrench and the manifold is to big to get a socket on the nut.

VERY Aggravating.

 

short U joint socket....

 

wobble extension, short socket, or wobble socket

 

I tried everything. Heating it up. Thin wall socket. I managed to strip it.
Tomorrow I'm going to cut the pipe and bend it out of the way.
It some aftermarket down pipe and sh"t catalytic converter anyway. I'm getting up and downstream O2 codes too.

 

forgot this...crowfoot flare nut wrench...but too late as you said you stripped it....
