Default Extended brake lines

So I lifted my truck with terrafirma's 2in lift. Also bought 2in extended brake lines but to me it didn't really look like I needed them so I didn't install them. Can someone educate me on whether or not I should install them or return them. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to install them. But you are at their max now. However if you do a lot of off roading and plan on trying to get more articulation in the future, you will want them.

If you plan to disconnect the sways id say put them on... Theyll give you a little firmer pedal.

even if you are not benefiting from the extra length, you would be upgrading from the worn squishy rubber ones. imo, any improvement in braking is worth it.

what Dusty said. Your current black rubber brake lines are old, worn out, and just tired. Replace them with the new SS extended ones you have and be done with it. While your there, might as well do a whole system flush with fresh fluid.

@BayerischeDisco... I'm assuming you installed the Extended brake lines, but even if not... did you purchase the kit with 4 or 6 lines? I see them being sold both ways. I'm in the same boat as I'm getting ready to install a 2" lift and although I know the Extended brake lines are not required, thought for the same reasons as dusty1 & jeffh mentioned that I'd get them installed and while there do a complete flush/fill. I guess I'm just trying to find out what most people do/recommend when replacing the brake lines; the 4 line kit or the 6 line kit?

+6" lines, +6" shocks, 4" lift. Still street-worthy
