Default fender trim painting

on faded fender trim, can you lightly sand it and paint it with black flex paint to make it look new again???? if they have eben armoralled will that cause a problem??

Check with your auto parts store, there are some products out there that may help. By the way, it is normal to see the sun burning the top sides of the moldings.

us jeep guys use plasticoat. that's what i was going to use on my rover. It's formulated to stick to plastic.

Black to black will restore it... It's a mothers product, just apply and it looks new again... My trim was all faded and white, tons of really old wax build up from the previous owner, one treatment and it's new again.

Just bought a bottle of that stuff thanks to your post and it's great. My fender flares were very faded on top and now they look almost like new without much rubbing. Thanks for that info!

Theres only one problem though.....someone got too close to the fender trim with a buffer before i bougth my car on two of the fenders, and it caused it to burn and be a little rough on top.....thats why i wanted to sand it...just wanted to make sure that paint would stick and not look shiney and cheap

It may work better than painting since it's a dye, whether you sand it or not.
