Thanks all!

I know about snipping a wire to accomplish the same thing, but I'd rather not butcher the wiring if I don't need to.

Snipping a wire is butchering things?

You must enjoy spending money...

I can understand if there was an issue with it anyways like Morpheus was experiencing but why spend money on replacing something when yours works fine and all you have to do is cut one wire? Just seems kind of silly to me but to each their own I guess.

The 2004 part is an upgrade, there were TSB about using it to replace the older ones for very stubborn fault codes.

One thing to remember, if you have a air suspension of the vehicle you get the computer from did, you might need it to be reprogrammed.

I had also read somewhere that the latest # SRD500070 had better programing as far as the when and how the ABS and TC were applied.

Can you post a reference if you can find it? I'd be interested in reading that.

The 03/04 both had improved programming over previous years. not sure if the 04 is any different then the 03, kind of doubt it since overseas markets had a cdl option on the 03s.

There are different part numbers, and the TSB for sensor faults suggests to install the latest part number, so I'm guessing there was at least something different. I'd still rather have the the 03 over the older version, if it's free or already in the car, but if I'm buying a replacement, I'd hold out for the 04.

^ Exactly what I did. I was even willing the pay the extra $10 freight to get the right part number shipped after I got the older number shipped the first time.

It's not good to do this. You can cause serious transmission damage. Especially for satellites from the rear and rear differential. This is a way of protection because Slabs until 2003 is not well set with Cdl.
ps Sorry for my poor English
