Default Fire Extinguisher Mount

Just pictures, they are pretty self explanatory. As it can bee seen, the fire extinguisher does not restrict the positions of the seat and it does not touch your legs even with heels placed at the seat base. A cable tie secures the bottle against accidental opening of the metal strap (try to find the right cable tie size, so you can crack it open in an emergency quickly).

Two metal parts have to be made from steel bar (1 1/4" wide), painted optionally. The fire extinguisher is on sale for $12.99 at Costco right now. The metal bracket is available on ebay for around $8.

Good spot, easily accessible. Are you wearing starched jeans?

Looks good for the cockpit kudos.

Now spend $21 on this hanging fire extinguisher for your engine compartment and then you'll have an automatic fire suppression system:

Dry chemical (powdered) will compact due to vibrations, one should remove and shake them time to time vs risk the chance of it plugging up when needed. A second one stored in the back compartment would be great doubling your fire fighting power. Better yet and sad to find an older Halon extinguisher (if you can find one) knocking down a fire without that powder mess when used......~~=o&o>........
